In 2014, Bethlehem Municipality has rehabililated the traditional complex located on Star Street "Hosh Abu Jarour". This project was implemented in cooperation with CCHP and funded by the USAID
Hosh Abu Jarour aims to establish an Icon School offering professional level of training for local people that shall contribute to the development of the area in different aspects. Furthermore, the Hosh is used to accommodate a visitor's information centre that would provide quality services for local and international tourists.
Through this project, the documentation of structural and architectural conditions was implemented:
- Complete and detailed survey of buildings including the identification construction chronology, building material and decorations.
- Historical investigation and documentation of the buildings use and space functions.
- Identification of restoration works.
