The Mayor of Bethlehem Adv. Anton Salman met with the Mayor of Bucharest/ Sector 1 Mr. Daniel Tudorache, in the presence of the Acting Director of the PR in Bethlehem Municipality Mrs. Carmen Ghattas.
The visit aimed at activating the twinning agreement between the two cities, which was signed in 2013. Salman talked about the challenges that face Bethlehem as a result of the of the ongoing Israeli practices. Moreover, Salman invited Tudorache to participate in the Tree Lighting Ceremony. He also focused on the event of Bethlehem Capital of Arab Culture 2020 and the importance of the participation of Bethlehem twinned cities in such a big event.
From his part, Tudorache thanked Salman for his visit, and emphasized his intention to visit Bethlehem to participate in the Tree Lighting Ceremony, and to support the event of Bethlehem Capital of Arab culture 2020.
